1. Installation, start-up & commissioning of equipment for the tube & pipe industry. Control & manage technological processes of tube mills & finishing equipment during equipment start-up & customer acceptance testing.
3. Evaluate & apply American Petroleum Institute (API) standards during commissioning & final acceptance of tube mill & finishing equipment.
4. Calculate parameters for metal cutting processes for pipe end facing machines.
Tune cutting tool positions to conform to pipe end profiles per API geometric specifications.
5. Read & implement instrumentation functional controls per Process & Instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) & functional diagrams.
6. Analyze equipment structural frames for material deflection & yield under dynamic loading conditions. Develop on-site proposals for modifications & improvements.
7. Work with equipment axillary systems using VFDs, hydraulic & pneumatic valving & feedback devices to achieve the functionality & cycle time.
Position requires : Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field, or foreign education equivalent, & 5 yrs.
work exp. in the tube industry in the position of Service Manager or other Service Engineering positions. 5 yrs. of exp.
is required in each of the following :
1. Managing installation & commissioning of equipment in the tube & pipe industry.
2. Working with fluids pressure intensification systems used in high pressure hydrostatic testing equipment.
3. Utilizing API standards for final acceptance of tube mill & finishing equipment at customers sites.
4. Calculating parameters for metal cutting processes for pipe facing machines. Setting up cutting tools to achieve pipe end profiles conforming to API geometric standards.
5. Working with Process & Instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) & functional flow charts optimizing the processes.
6. Root cause analyzing the equipment structural frames failures under load & developing proposals for modifications & improvements.
7. Optimizing & troubleshooting VFD controls, hydraulic & pneumatic valving for speed & position control for functionality & cycle time.
